Delta Airlines Ka-band Viasat Coverage Map

I was recently flying from Hawaii to NYC on Delta Airlines and was curious what to expect on Wifi. Our new site here told me that on my 767 I was going to have Viasat Ka-band service (which we rate as “Better” on the Good-Better-Best scale). But was I going to get service over the Pacific Ocean?

I love Delta’s gate-to-gate Wifi service, it so much better than waiting until 10k feet on other airlines. So I was tapping away enjoying the Wifi when I suddenly lost service about 25 minutes after takeoff. I was fearing that I would not get service back until we hit California, but then this page popped up with this nice map:

And just a few minutes later, wifi was back and would remain on for the remainder of the flight. I tucked away this screenshot though, I hope it is helpful for someone wondering if they will have Wifi service on their next long-haul Delta flight!
