AeroLOPA Change Log: 12 April 2026
We've rebuilt AeroLOPA from the ground up — faster, cleaner, and packed with new features to help you find the best seat on your next flight.
- Find Your Aircraft - Search by your flight number and travel date, and we'll identify the exact aircraft configuration you'll be flying on. Our system matches your flight to the correct seat map using real-time schedule data, and when available, tail-number tracking for even greater accuracy. You'll see your best match highlighted, along with any alternative configurations the airline uses on the same route.
- WiFi Quality - We now show WiFi quality on a Good / Better / Best scale so you know what to expect before you board.
- Variant Navigation - Many airlines operate different cabin configurations of the same aircraft type. We now group these variants together with pagination dots, making it easy to browse between configurations — for example, switching between American Airlines' three different 777-200 layouts without losing your place.
- Great Window Seats - On each aircraft page, we highlight the seats with the best window alignment — perfect for photographers or anyone who likes a view. We only recommend seats that also have a good or neutral overall rating, so you won't be steered to a window seat that compromises on comfort.
- Seat Recommendations - Toggle seat recommendations on any aircraft page to see colour-coded ratings across the entire cabin. Green seats are recommended, yellow seats come with caveats, and red seats are ones to avoid when you can. Sign in to unlock this feature.
- Faster Everything - The new site loads significantly faster than before. Pages render in under a second, seat maps appear instantly, and the fleet swipers respond without delay. We've moved our images to a global CDN and optimised every asset for speed.
- Google and Apple Sign-In - You can now sign in with your Google or Apple account in addition to email. Signing in unlocks cabin details, seat recommendations, saved aircraft, and flight history.
- Improved Search - The search bar now recognises aircraft codes, airline names, and IATA codes. Type "77W" to jump straight to a Boeing 777-300ER, or search any airline by name or two-letter code.
- Articles - We're adding editorial content about airlines, aircraft, and the aviation industry. Check this Articles section for the latest
