There are so many BA 777 cabin configurations. How to pin-point the right one

With so many cabin configurations and as the BA seat selection chart only displays the cabin you are booked in, it can be difficult identifying the exact aircraft type and matching to the seat map displayed in Manage My Booking. There are a few tell tale signs so let's walk though them cabin by cabin.

When booked in First

If the seat map shows two rows of F seats, there are two corresponding types

  • 77H: Two rows numbered 1-2. This aircraft type is uniquely identified as 77W on BA's seat chart
  • 77M: Two rows numbered 1-2

If the seat map shows four rows of F seats, there are three corresponding types

  • 77G: four rows numbered 1-4. There are no 3EF seats. Lavatories located aft of row 4
  • 77R: four rows numbered 1-4. There are no 3EF seats. Lavatories located forward of row 1

When booked in Club World

If the seat map shows four abreast seating (A-EF-K), the aircraft features the new Club World Suite. There are three corresponding types:

  • 77H: twenty rows numbered 5-7 and 8-24. There are no 18AK or 24AK seats. This aircraft type is uniquely identified as 77W on BA's seat chart
  • 77L: fourteen rows numbered 1-7 and 8-14. Lavatories located forward of row 1 and forward of seat 10F
  • 77M: thirteen rows numbered 5-8 and 9-17. There are no 8A or 8EF seats. Lavatories located forward of seats 9A, 9E, and 9F

Eight abreast seating (AB-DEFG-JK)

77G: seven rows numbered 10-16. Lavatories located aft of row 16
77J: seven rows rows 1-5 and 10-11. There are no 1AB or 1JK seats. Lavatories located forward of seats 1B, 10G, and 10J
77R: six rows numbered 10-15. Lavatories located forward of row 10
77S and 77T: four rows numbered 1-4. Lavatories located forward of row 1

When booked in World Traveller Plus

All types are arranged with 8 abreast seating (AB-DEFG-JK)

  • 77G: six rows numbered 21-26. There are no 21AB or 21JK seats
  • 77H: five rows numbered 30-34. This aircraft type is identified as 77W on BA's seat chart
  • 77J: three rows numbered 12-14
  • 77L: five rows numbered 15-19
  • 77M: five rows numbered 21-24
  • 77R: five rows numbered 21-25
  • 77S: six rows numbered 10-15
  • 77T: seven rows numbered 10-16. There are no 10DEFG seats

When booked in World Traveller

Nine abreast seating (ABC-DEF-HJK)

  • 77G: twenty-two rows numbered 28-35 and 37-50. Window twins at rows 28, 49, and 50
  • 77J: twenty-four rows numbered 16-24 and 26-40. Window twins at rows 16 and 39. There are no 16C, 16H, 39JK, 40AB, or 40JK seats

Ten abreast seating (ABC-DEFG-HJK)

  • 77H: fourteen rows numbered 40-53. This aircraft type is uniquely identified as 77W on BA's seat chart
  • 77L: twenty rows numbered 25-29 and 30-44. Window twins at rows 41-44. There are no 30ABC, 30HJK, or 44AB seats
  • 77M: sixteen rows numbered 25-40. Window twins at rows 36-39. There are no 25ABC, 25HJK seats. 
  • 77R: fifteen rows numbered 26-40. Window twins at rows 36-40
  • 77S: twenty-seven rows numbered 20-31 and 32-46. Window twins at rows 42-44. Three lavatories located forward of row 32
  • 77T: twenty-seven rows numbered 20-31 and 32-46. Window twins at rows 42-44. Two lavatories located forward of row 32
